Old Time Charm
Lovely stay at the grand dame. Very friendly couple. When we could not use our very low car, the owner lent us hers to go out for supper. Breakfast was very good, but the best was the history of the house, and the view!
Away from it all
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle then this is for you. You will be taken back in time with this old worldly grand house, with lovely forest walks, and the breakfasts are to die for.
Great Place, Great Value
This guesthouse was inexpensive and good value for money. The breakfasts and view of the river are superb. My room was very large and well-furnished. The guesthouse oozes history, which I have confirmed with locals.
Wonderful stay at Royston Hall Guest House
We had recently a wonderful two days stay at Royston Hall guest house. This over one-century-old house is amazing with a beautiful view of the river from the terrace where we had our breakfast. The owner and the staff are extremely friendly, the decoration inside the house is very nice, the property around the house with its tropical trees, flowers and birds are like a little paradise. A place we loved and we highly recommend.
The most amazing place, wonderful people
We had an awesome stay, the food was excellent, the staff fantastic. A beautiful historic place to stay. The room was lovely, we had hornbills knocking at our bathroom windows. Beautiful antiques and a very old and lovely grand piano.
We spent 2 nights at Royston Hall and enjoyed every minute. The mansion breathes history through every pore. Furnished in style with lots of love for the small details. Had a warm welcome by Ria. Ntombi served a 4-star breakfast with a bright smile. Walked through the forest with Sky and Shadow - the great danes. Loads to explore along the South Coast - one weekend is not enough.
This place is an unexpected treasure. Steeped in local history, hidden in the wonderful bush, the birdlife alone is worth stopping in for. Serene and calm. The staff are fabulous and Ria a perfect hostess. This is my second extended stay (5 days each) and I will be back again.
