Priva was a ten year passion that Chef Forti brought to life in the year of 2014.
Priva stands for everything that is style, elegance, casual sophistication, and comfortable lounge atmosphere, with excellent service and superb dining.
The inside seating offers a luxurious and classy ambience close to the bar and the stage. Outside, you can enjoy some of the best views in the capital (naturally, all tables are under cover, and the live music is transferred via a state-of-the-art sound system).
The masterminds behind the success of Priva:
Chef Fortunato Mazzone (Forti)
Forti was the owner of multi-award winning Ristorante Ritrovo in Pretoria with his father, the well-known chef and Italian food pioneer in South Africa, Giovanni Mazzone.
Fortunato is a Commandeur de Bordeaux, a chevalier of the Coteaux du Champagne, and was the youngest member of the Academy of Chefs of the South African Chef Association when he was inducted. He is also Vice-Echanson of The Ordre Mondial and an officer of the Chaine des Rotisseurs gastronomic organization. Ritrovo, a former venture of Forti, was South Africa’s most award winning restaurant, with over seventy local and international food awards, and all his restaurants feature in the Amex Platinum top 100.
